It is one of the most time consuming and laborious weaving technique making it premium. In 2013, the traditional art of weaving Jamdani was declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We have strived to get you relaxed slow fashion clothing in fine quality of Jamdani from Bengal.
IKAT
Ikat is a dyeing technique used to create a distinct style of textile patterns. Ikat fabric patterns are created by resist dyeing sections of the yarns prior to weaving the fabric. The surface design is created on the yarns rather than on the finished fabric making it distinctly unique and extremely skillful and laborious. A characteristic of ikat textiles is an apparent “blurriness” to the design. The blurriness is a result of the tremendous difficulty the weaver has lining up the dyed yarns so that the pattern comes out perfectly in the finished cloth. The blurriness can be reduced by using finer yarns or by the skill of the craftsperson. Ikats with little blurriness, multiple colours and complicated patterns are more difficult to create and therefore often more expensive.
PRINTS
Printing is a process for reproducing patterns, text and shapes using a master form or template. Prints is a vast segment. And hence we ‘ll be focusing on one technique of printing at a time.
BLOCK PRINTING
Block printing is the process of printing patterns by means of engraved wooden blocks. The number of wooden blocks required per design depends on the number of colors in the final pattern. The block used for the background is called ‘Gadh’, and the block used for filling in the colour is called ‘Datta’. The outline of the motifs is called ‘Rekh’. Traditionally, a design had to have all three blocks. It is the earliest, simplest and slowest of all methods of textile printing. Block printing by hand is a slow process. It is, however, capable of yielding superior artisanal results, some of which are unobtainable by any other method.

TIE DYE

It is a labor intensive process and a skillful artisan can make intricate patterns using this technique. We have used natural dyes in the collection to offer you the rawest and purest form of this ancient technique.

RECYCLE
The process of transforming materials into new materials and objects is Recycling. This is an important aspect of environment sustainability as we redirect ‘waste’ materials as substitute raw material input reducing carbon footprint. Recycling involves the destruction of waste in order to create something new. Once a material can no longer serve any purpose, then it is eco-friendlier to recycle it than it is to send it to landfill. We passionately believe in recycling and use only recycled material for brand packaging and liaise with a brand that recycles old car tyres to make soles of footwear.
UPCYCLE
Upcycling involves taking an item that would otherwise be waste and improving it in some way to make it useful again. Upcycling takes waste and creates something new from it in its current state. In this sense, the upcycled object is a kind of tribute to the object it used to be. We collaborate with a brand to promote their bags and décor products made by upcycling waste plastic which would otherwise end up in landfill or clog our water bodies.
BROWN COTTON
Naturally brown colored cotton is bred to have this hue. This is unique and exceptionally different from white cotton as it does not need to be dyed. The cotton’s natural color does not fade. Yields are typically lower and the fiber is shorter and weaker but has a softer feel than the more commonly available “white” cotton. Brown Cotton is still relatively rare because it requires specialized harvest techniques and facilities, making it more expensive to harvest than white cotton.
